Supporting & encouraging you in your feeding journey

Supporting & encouraging you in your feeding journey

Treasure Chest aims to promote, support and encourage breastfeeding in the York area.

How can we help?

Treasure Chest runs weekly in-person groups, as well as managing a thriving Facebook support community.

We hold a monthly  antenatal workshop for pregnant people thinking about breastfeeding.

When possible we also have volunteers on the wards at York hospital.

Want to support us?

If you’re passionate about breastfeeding and are interested in helping us support more families, there are a few ways you can get involved.

Whether that’s training to be a volunteer, helping us raise awareness, or making a financial donation.

All support is gratefully received.

An introduction to Treasure Chest

Treasure Chest Breastfeeding Group was established in 2005 by a group of health professionals and local York parents who had an interest in breastfeeding and in helping others to breastfeed.

We are a not for profit organisation in York, run entirely by volunteers and funded by donations.

We became a charity (CIO) in 2024 (No. 1210006).
